The Challenge
An international zinc company wanted to assess work performance of hourly maintenance workers to encourage growth and development.
The Response
Wyvern used company-developed maintenance competencies to design a multi-rater survey that would compare workers with each other. Every maintenance employee was rated by self, peers and customers, as well as by supervisors, on the six most important ingredients in job success.
The Result
Feedback to employees on survey results was performed by their supervisors with Wyvern-generated graphs. Supervisors reported the feedback was easy to give, and employees stated the individual results were accurate and believable.
Gaps in personal performance were highlighted and action plans for improvement were developed. Employees were motivated to do better because they finally had unbiased feedback that they could trust.
